5.5+ years in, working across the whole stack — React at the front, Laravel and Node behind it, MySQL and Redis underneath. Most of that in agencies: shipping to somebody else's deadline, inheriting other people's code, keeping it running afterwards. Lately that includes wiring LLMs into workflows that already carry real traffic.
I started in 2021 writing PHP for a small team, and learned the unglamorous half of the job first: reading somebody else’s code, fixing what broke at 6pm, and finding out what “done” really means once real users arrive.
